It looks like Capcom has posted the specifications for Resident Evil 7: Biohazard on the Steam store page. From a quick glance, the game doesn't seem too demanding. My three-year-old CPU is listed under recommended along with half of my RAM amount.

    MINIMUM:

    OS: WINDOWS 7,8,8.1,10 64-BIT
Processor: Intel Core i5-4460, 2.70GHz or AMD FX-6300 or better
    Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 or AMD Radeon R7 260x
    DirectX: Version 11
Additional Notes: 1080P CPU/GPU at 30FPS Players will have to either lower texture or set streaming textures to OFF in order to optimize performance. *Internet connection required for game activation. The game is still undergoing development, so all PC requirements are subject to change.

    RECOMMENDED:

    OS: WINDOWS 7,8,8.1,10 64-BIT
Processor: Intel Core i7 3770 3.4GHz or AMD or better
    Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon R9 280X or better
    DirectX: Version 11
Additional Notes: "1080P CPU/GPU at 60FPS *Internet connection required for game activation. The game is still undergoing development, so all PC requirements are subject to change."

I do like the extra clarification on what minimum means, but if minimum can produce a 1080p image, then does that mean there isn't support for lower resolutions? I'm pretty sure this is simply an oversight, but you never know.

Capcom has been doing really well with its PC ports as of late. For as horrible as Resident Evil 6 is, the game plays like a dream on PC. It even has split-screen support and the ability to use keyboard and mouse alongside a gamepad. I was the lucky one who got to play on a 360 controller.
